A little History... Just 5.5 miles up Union Pass Road (named by the famous explorer John C. Fremont), the ranch was built in the Wind River Mountain Range. Between 1914 and 1950, tie-hackers (lumbermen who cut track ties for the railroads) contributed to the settling of the West in this area. Hundreds of thousands of ties were cut and floated down the Wind River where the spring floods would carry the lumber to Riverton, Wyoming toward the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.
Perched high above Dubois, WY Crooked Creek Guest Ranch is approx. 12 miles west of Dubois Wyoming just off of Hwy 26/287 up Union Pass Road.
